Biography

Prof. V. Padmavathi has 22 years of teaching and 27 years of research experience. She taught B.Tech Engineering Chemistry and has been teaching at PG level Heterocyclic chemistry, Reagents in organic synthesis, Nucleophilic substitution reactions, Photochemistry, Boron, sulfur, phosphorus and silicon chemistry and Natural products. She worked as INSA visiting Fellow at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore during 1997. She had postdoctoral experience at Fel’s Research Institute, Temple University, Philadelphia, USA during 2001 to 2002. She is the recipient of Meritorious Teachers award during 2000 and Teacher of Excellence Award by S. V. University in 2009. Her broad research areas are synthetic organic chemistry, stereochemistry and bioorganic chemistry. She has produced 25 Ph. D. and 13 M. Phil. degrees and published 198 research papers in journals of repute. She has attended several conferences at National and International level. She has successfully completed three research projects funded by DST, CSIR and UGC and at present one CSIR, one DST projects are ongoing. She is the life member of many scientific and professional societies
