Biography

Koteeeswaran Seerangan was born in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, India. He received his Bachelor degree in Information Technology from Amirtha Institute of Technology and Science in 2006 and graduated his Master degree in Software Engineering from Vel Tech Engineering College in 2009 and completed his Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering from Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology 2013. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai Tamilnadu, India. He is a member of IEEE, Life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Member of International Association for Engineers (IAEng), Global member of Internet Security (ISOC), Member of IEEE Computer Society (CS) and Member of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS). He was the Organizing Secretary for National Conference on “Challenges and issues in Computing & Technology (NCCICT 2011, NCCICT 2012 and NCCICT 2014)” in the year 2011, 2012, 2014 and also Organized Two days National level Student Conference on Computing, Communication and Energy Engineering (NCCCEE 2015) held on 20th - 21st May 2015 (NCCCEE 2015). He was Organized Three Days International Conference on “Smart Technologies for Materials, Communication, Controls, and Computing & Energy (ICST 2011, ICST 2013)” in the year 2011, 2013 funded by CSIR & DRDO respectively. And also he was the Co-convener & Organizing Secretary for three days IEEE International Conference on Smart Technologies and Management for Computing, Communication, Controls, Energy and Materials (ICSTM 2015) in association with Okhalma State University, USA held on 6th – 8th, May 2015 funded by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). He is a certified trainer of “Train The Trainer” program for the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Engineer conducted by Telecom Sector Skill Council. He has authored and co-authored in several papers of various journals and conference proceedings and also the author of two textbook on computing fundamentals & programming in C and Introduction to Computing. Currently he is guiding 8 Ph.D Scholars, guided various projects for Under Graduate and Post Graduate Students. He is the reviewer of more than dozen journals including the world leading IJST, AJAS and JCS. He is the associate editor of International Journal of Advanced Research in Computing and Information Technology (IJARCIT). He has published 40 Technical papers in National/International Conferences and Journals. His research interests include Software Engineering, Data Mining, Big Data and Cloud Computing.
