Abhishek Raj received his BSc (Forestry) from the Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, India, in 2013, his MSc (Forestry) from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, India, in 2015 and PhD (Forestry) from the same Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, India, in 2019. He is currently working as Assistant Professor and Head in Department of Forestry, Mewar University at Chittaurgarh, Rajasthan (India).
He worked extensively across the country on different aspects of research related to scientific techniques of babul (Acacia nilotica) gum exudation and the climatic effects of the gum exudation process. His other research expertise includes biomass estimation, carbon-sequestration, productivity, and soil properties, as well as non-timber forest products, forest ecology and agroforestry.
Abhishek has a number of publications to his credit, including 10 research papers and 15 review articles in national and international journals, 20 popular articles, 25 book chapters, 2 books in reputed publishers (CRC Apple Academic Press) and 40 abstracts in national and international seminars, symposia, conferences, training workshops, etc. He is ICAR/ASRB NET qualified in Agroforestry.
He is a member of many scientific journals and societies, and is currently working as an Editor of the African Journal of Agricultural Research and Journal of Horticulture & Forestry. He is Editorial Board Member of many reputed journals and society such as Journal of Forestry Science, Asian Council of Science Editors, International Journal of Applied & Natural Science, Acta Scientific Microbiology, Society of African Journal Editors, American Journal of Agriculture & Forestry, International Journal of Forest, Animal & Fisheries Research, International Journal of Wildlife & Endangered Species Conservation, Journal of Advance Research in Food, Agriculture & Environmental Sciences, Global Academic Journal of Agriculture & Bio-Sciences, Global Journal of Engineering, Science & Social Science Studies. He is also a reviewer for many reputed journals such as the International Journal of Agriculture Sciences, the International Journal of Applied and Natural Sciences, the American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, and the International Journal of Ethno pharmacology. Currently, he is serving as Editorial Advisory Board for Cambridge Scholar Publishing House, London-U.K.
He was also recently nominated as a member of the International Society for Development and Sustainability, Japan.
