Biography

Dr. Nandan Bhattacharyya is currently working as Principal at Panskura Banamali College, India. He obtained his Postdoctoral degree in Cleveland Clinic Foundation from Cornell University, USA, and PhD from Calcutta University. He is having 14 years of experience of working in USA as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow to Research Associate to Assistant Staff and after that more than 8 years as a Professor of a Private Engineering College. He was also serving the Institute as Deputy Director (R&D) since 2008 till 2011, after that he has been designated as Dean, School of Food Technology & Biotechnology. Dr. Nandan received honors includes Senior and Junior Research Fellowship, University Grants Commission (NET), Government of India, Travel Award for presentation in the meeting of American Society for Cell Biology, David Warfield Fellowship, New York Academy of Medicine, Invited speaker at the 7th and 8th World Congress on Advances in Oncology, and 5th International Symposium on Molecular Medicine, at Hersonissos, Crete, Greece. He also received grants for his research work from different organizations. He supervised 3 PhD, 2 M.Phil, 3 M.Tech and more than 50 B.Tech students. He is Regional Editor of 5 international journals, and Senior Editor of American Journal of Cancer Biology. He is also serving as reviewer of Carcinogenesis, International Journal of Cancer, International Journal of Oncology, Oncogene, Journal of Cancer Research & Clinical Oncology etc. He has published 42 research papers in journals, 7 book and book chapters, editor of 1 book, 45 abstract and presentations, and 3 patents contributed as author/co-author.
