Further he has been elected as Chairman, The Indian Institute of Metals, Bhubaneswar Chapter [2016-2020]. Cureently he is the Director, AIET [BPUT], Odisha, India.

Dr. Bhima Rao has obtained doctorate degree in Mineral Engineering from IIT Dhanbad [the then Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad] after completion of his double post graduation from College of Science and Technology and College of Engineering, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He has gained in-depth knowledge and experience in the fields of Mineral Process Engineering.

Due to his exemplary work on beneficiation, a few beneficiation plants have been set up in India. The know–how on use of additives in grinding for energy saving in comminution plants has been accepted by few mineral industries. To his credit he has a few patents and more than 250 publications in International and National journals. He has delivered a large number of invited lecturers in National and International organizations. He is fellow and life members for many professional societies and fulfilled his duties as President/Chairman and as Hony. Secretary. He has organized many seminars, symposia and workshops. The Institution of Engineers India, Kolkata felicitated him as eminent engineer. IEI Vijayawada and Bhubaneswar felicitated him as as Elder engineer, Andhra University Visakhapatnam felicitated him as eminent scientist. Sistakaranam communities in Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam felicitated him as best academician. In recent he has been felicitated by His Excellency the Governor of Odisha for his life time contribution to the state of Odisha during the convocation at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan.

His contribution towards the Sistakaranam community in Odisha is several folds. He guided a few of our community M Tech and Ph D Students in Science and Engineering & Technology. Some of his students who belong to our community got gold medals for their best papers. All his students settled in high profile. He and his wife are responsible for ten couple marriages in our community. He is continuously encouraging by felicitating with mementoes and certificates to all our community students of 10 and 12th for their talents in education and sports during the annual event of Sistakaran Asociation, Bhubaneswar. He also appreciates with mementoes to all the students who achieved IITs and selected for IAS, IPS and other allied services as well as senior citizens of our community. He and his wife are more active since inception of Sistakaran Association, Bhubaneswar in Odisha. This couple are admin for Sistakaranmatrimony Diary Whatsaap group [917978663501]. This couple also brought out Sistkaran vivaha parichaya patrica during 2019 and distributed all over India. We wish to continue our unconditional social service for the development of our sistakaran community in all spheres.
