Dr. Sujan Kumar Sou is presently working as an Assistant Professor of Zoology, Department of Zoology, Kulti College, Post-Kulti, Dist- Paschim Bardhaman, Pin-713343, West Bengal, India. He completed his B.Sc in Zoology (Hons) from Krishna Chandra College, Hetampur, Birbhum and M.Sc with specialization Entomology and B.Ed (Life Science) from The University of Burdwan. Thereafter, he was actively involved in research work. He was awarded the Ph.D degree in Zoology (Parasitology Research Laboratory) from The University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India. His area of expertise includes Biodiversity, Systematics and Molecular Helminthology. He joined the Kulti College on 16.11.2006 by the recommendation of West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC). He has contributed more than 22 original research articles in various national and international journals such as Acta Parasitologica, Zootaxa, Journal of Parasitic Diseases, Proceedings of the Zoological Society, Wesleyan Journal of Research, Journal of Environment and Sociobiology etc. He has edited a book on “Recent Trends in Zoology with Special Emphasis on Animal Diversity, Fisheries & Genetics” as an Editor (ISBN: 978-93-80663-52-4). Dr. Sou has successfully completed two Research Project funded by University Grants Commission (UGC), India. He is a Life member of Indian Society for Parasitology, The Zoological Society of Burdwan and Wesleyan Journal of Research. He has attended and presented research papers in various State, National and International seminars. He is a reviewer of Journal “Species Diversity” which is an official journal of Japanese Society of Systematic Zoology, Journal of Scientific Research published by Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India and Zootaxa.
