Biography

Dr. Prafull Singh, currently working as Associate Professor in Department of Geology under School of Earth , Biological and Environmental Sciences, Central University of South Bihar . He has completed his M.Sc. in applied Geology and Ph.D. degree in Hydrogeology and Remote Sensing and have more than 12 Years of Experience . His major research interest areas are Hydrogeology, Remote Sensing, Watershed Modeling. Quantitative Mapping of River Basin, Urban Heat Island and Land Use & Change Modeling, Geologic Remote Sensing, Natural Disasters. He has more than 12 years of teaching and research experience and four Scholars completed their Ph.D. degree under his able guidance. He received European Union Fellowship to Visit University of Salzburg as Visiting Professor in 2019 . Received Award Certificate in Shikshak Samman Samaroh-2018 Organized Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, U.P. He Awarded DST young Scientist award in 2014 and completed one DST project as Principal Investigator. He has published more than 40 research papers in International Journals and has 10 chapters in edited Books with International publisher. He is reviewer of many International journals in the field of Water resources, Natural disasters, Ground water quality, Urban Climate and remote sensing.
