Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Wani was born on 7th november, 1983 in town Pampore, District Pulwama, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He did his schooling at MEI Pampore and passed 10th standard examination with 74% marks; secondary school examination at Tyndale Biscoe school with 76.5% marks. He qualified common entrance test for professional degree course and opted for BVSc and AH at SKUAST-Jammu and passed with overall Grade point of 7.38/10. He did his masters degree in Veterinary Parasitology in 2010 and completed Ph.D in the year 2020. He is expert in helminthology, entomology, protozoology as well as molecular parasitology. so far he has published 35 research papers in both national and international journals, 45 abstracts in various conferences, 15 popular articles, 10 extension bulletins and also coauthored two books as well as two laboratory manuals for UG and PG students. He has been a recipient of NET certificate and appreciation letter for qualifying quiz examination. He has been co-investigator of many divisional projects, attended various duties as invigilator for examinations at college level, committee member of various committees at college and university level.
