I have expertise in agri-marketing, especially medicinal plants, microenterprise and green products besides and climate smart agriculture, sustainable rural livelihoods. I have offered guest lectures in these topics at many universities/ colleges- universities of Dehradun & Pune, Agriculture Universities at Dharwad, Dapoli & Raipur. I trained “climate smart agriculture” at National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Hyderabad in 2019. I worked as researcher & trainer at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore (1994-199) in biodiversity conservation and policy, climate change.
Later, I worked as researcher & coordinator (2000-2004) in The Transdisciplinary Health University, Bangalore on medicinal plants conservation using IUCN red listing methodology and kitchen herbal gardens. My next position (2008-2016) was Director (North India), Covenant Centre for Development (CCD) NGO, Madurai, based at Durg, Chhattisgarh after incubation in manager, livelihoods at Madurai (2005-2007). I completed 3 central Govt. (Dept. of Sci. & Tech.- 2, Dept. of Biotech.- 1) & 4 state Govt. projects (M. P. Biodiversity Board, Bhopal- 1, CG state council for Sci. & Tech., Raipur- 1, MH State Agri. Dept.- 2). I had 4 corporate clients- Dabur, Himalaya Drug co., Natural Remedies co. & Parle Agro. The micro-enterprise I led (GMCL) won UNDP-Govt. of India national Biodiversity award, 2016.
