My name is Dr. K. Raja, I did my PhD in Chemistry under the supervision of Dr. K. Tharini, Associate Professor of Chemistry, for this work at Government Arts College, Affiliated Bharathidasan University Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu, India.

The title of my doctoral thesis is �Synthesis, Characterization, Corrosion Protection and Antimicrobial Studies of n-Benzylpiperidin-4-one Derivatives�. I am currently working as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at St. Joseph University, Chumukedima, Nagaland-797115, India. Currently my work has focused on the synthesis of nanoparticles and nanocomposites and their applications as molecular precursors for the synthesis of nanostructures and performance evaluations of these nanostructures in catalysis, wastewater treatment by adsorption or photocatalysis and detection of hazardous impurities. I have used different techniques for characterization and analysis, such as Molecular structure determination by single crystal X-ray diffraction, powder XRD, FT-IR, XPS, BET surface, AFM, SEM-EDAX, TEM, TGA, combustion method (CHNS and O analysis), particle size analyzer (DLS analysis), LCMS, GC-MS, UV-Vis, cyclic voltammetry and photo catalytic reactor. I am also familiar with software required for metal complex structure determination, Nanomaterials characterization and data analysis such as CrysAlisPro RED software and Win GX, ChemDraw, Diamond 3.1, Mercury and Origin. Based on my research experience and practical synthesis in both materials and chemistry with handling different instruments, it would certainly be helpful to get more pronounced results.
