Biography

Dr. G.P. Gangwar was born in joint farmer family of India. Dr. Gangwar graduated in biology from M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly and he earned M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees in Plant Pathology from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. In M.Sc. thesis research, he worked on "Mass multiplication of Beauveria bassiana and it's compatibility with chemical and bio-pesticides". In Ph.D. thesis research, he worked on "Biological management of bacterial leaf blight disease of rice".

From 2009 to 2010, Dr. Gangwar worked as Senior Research Fallow in "All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Mushroom" at Mushroom Research and Training Center, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. From 2010 to 2014, Dr. Gangwar worked as Research Associate in National Agricultural Innovation Project component (III)Sustainable Rural Livelihood Security: "Enhancement of Livelihood Security through Sustainable Farming System and Related Farm Enterprises in North-West Himalayas" at ICAR- Vivekanand Hill Agriculture Research Institute, Almora.

In 2014, Dr. Gangwar was appointed as Assistant Professor at Castor and Mustard Research Station, S.D. Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar. Presently, Dr. Gangwar is working under "All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Castor" and his assignments includes: Screening of castor genotypes against Fusarium wilt disease, Pathogenic variability and disease management. Dr. Gangwar also working under "All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Rapeseed-Mustard" and his assignments includes: Screening of Brassica strains against powdery mildew disease and epidemiology of powdery mildew disease. He is also engaged in teaching of post graduate courses.

Dr. Gangwar published three book chapters, twenty research papers and several popular articles..
