Dr. Amarpal is currently working as Principal Scientist at Division of Surgery, Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, India. He obtained his PhD in Veterinary Surgery & Radiology from G. B. Pant University Pantnagr, India in 1992. Dr Amarpal has been awarded with Vice-chancellor Gold Medal, Chancellor Gold Medal, Jawaharlal Nehru Book Trust Award, Ramani Ramchandran Award, Dr S.J. Angelo Award, Dr A.K Bhargava Award, Dr SS Mishra Gold Medal, Fellow of Indian Society of Veterinary Surgery, Fellow National Academy of Veterinary Science and Fellow Indian Society for Advancement of Canine Practice. He has also been recipient of Best Teacher Award of Indian Veterinary Research Institute and many paper presentation and other Awards. He is also Associate Editor of Indian Journal of Canine Practice, Editor of Indian Journal of Veterinary Surgery and Editor Chief of Research Opinions in Animal and Veterinary Sciences and Guest Editor of special issue of Advances in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. Dr Amarpal has been associated with 25 research projects. He has guided 6 MVSc and 7 PhD students. In addition of more than 300 abstracts in different symposia and conferences and several expert lectures, he has published three books and more than 265 papers in scientific journals of National and International repute. He has done commendable work in the area of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Pain Management, Urolithiasis, Orthopedic Surgery and Stem Cell Therapy in Animals.
