Biography

Dr. Afroz Alam is currently working as Associate Professor at Banasthali University, India. He obtained his PhD in Botany from same University. His main area of interest related to Plant Systematic and Biodiversity. His main area of expertise includes Bryophyte Systematic, Biodiversity, Medicinal Plants, Mycology, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Economic Botany, and Bio-control of Pollution. He has published 43 research papers in journals, 1 book chapter, 2 books, and 7 abstracts contributed as author/co-author. He also attended/presented in 8 workshops/seminar/conferences. He is life member of Indian Bryological Society, Association of Indian Plant Taxonomy (Phytotaxonomy), Lucknow University Botany Department Alumni Association, and annual member of Indian Botanical Society. He is also serving as Editor/Reviewer for Plant Systematic and Evolution (Springer), European Journal of Medicinal Plants (Science domain International), Arid Land Research and Management (Science Direct), African Journal of Biotechnology, Agriculture Research Journal, and International Journal of Advances in Medical Sciences and Biotechnology.
