Biography

Dr. Maddi Ramaiah is currently working as Assistant Professor at Hindu College of Pharmacy, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Andhra University, India. He is having 5 years of both teaching and research experience. He worked as Dispensing Pharmacist at Diabetic Clinic Centre, Skilled Assistant of project at Andhra University, Lecturer at St. Ann’s College of Pharmacy, and Assistant Professor at Mother Teresa College of Pharmacy. His current area of interest related to Pharmacognostical, Phytochemical, Anti-cancer, Hepatoprotective, Anti-inflammatory and Antimicrobial studies of Natural Products, Free Radical Scavenging, Diabetic Complications, and Natural Product Isolation and Development of Herbal Formulations. He also guided 4 M.Pharm and 8 B.Pharm students’ projects. He received Best Teacher Award-2014 sponsored by Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP) during the conference held at Hindu College of Pharmacy, Guntur, A.P. on Oct.25th 2014, Branch Topper and overall university second rank, Andhra University during the course of M. Pharmacy study, and CGPA 9.7 out of 10 during the course of M. Pharmacy study, Andhra University, and Best poster award in National Seminar held at Bapatla College of Pharmacy, Bapatla, 2007. He is life member of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP), Society of Pharmacognosy, and Society for Ethnopharmacology. He has published 31 research papers in national and international journals, and 5 review papers contributed as author/co-author. He also participated and attended 15 national and international conferences/workshops/seminars.
