Biography

Dr. Vinay Kumar is currently working as Assistant Professor in Biotechnology at the Department of Biotechnology, Modern College, Ganeshkhind, Pune. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from University of Pune, Pune, India. He guided 30 MSc (Biotechnology) and 29 BSc (Biotechnology) students for their projects. His main area of interest focuses on Environmental Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Plant Biotechnology and Plant Molecular Biology. He is professional member of the Biotech Research Society India (BRSI), Trivandrum, India, and Asian Federation of Biotechnology, Incheon, South Korea. He also worked as Project Assistant, Junior Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow at University of Pune, Pune. He also successfully completed 2 research projects as Principal Investigator/Co-investigator and also received funding from different Agencies. He is also serving as reviewer and editor in many journals. He has published 22 research papers in journals, and 22 presentations as author/co-author.
