Dr. Nayan Roy is currently working on biodiversity, pest biology including their behavioral as well as population ecology. He have a running MRP on green pest management of jute pest. He is also working on allelopathy and green nanotechnology. He has completed his Ph. D. from the Department of Zoology, University of Burdwan, under the supervision of Dr. Anandamay Barik (Assistant Professor) in chemical ecology of plant-insect interactions. He also qualified the CSIR-NET (JRF) and SET in Life Sciences in 2008. He published 17 research papers in different peer-reviewed international and national journals from 2010 to 2014. His prior work experience includes Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, M.U.C. Womens College, Burdwan, India, CSIR Junior Research Fellow in Department of Zoology, University of Burdwan and completed his fruitful years of teaching and research in different fields of chemical ecology of plant-insect interactions. He is also Editorial Board Member of different journals.
