Dr. Pashtoon Murtaza Kasi is currently a Resident, Internal Medicine, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Pittsburgh as well as Fellow Hematology/Oncology, Mayo Clinic. He has completed his Residency, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan. His board certifications include, American Board of Internal Medicine, Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He has awarded many honors for his tremendous work and services. He is member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Society of Hematology (ASH), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Medical Association (AMA) Member, Arnold P. Gold Foundation - Inducted by University of Pittsburgh for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. He is one of the 30 presenters for the First Annual Immuno-Oncology Young Investigators Forum, Chicago, IL. His area of research includes Understanding biological mechanisms and approaches to enhancing the efficacy of targeted, Immune based and etherapies in GI Malignancies, Toll-like receptors and their role in drug resistance and immune therapeutics, Translational science with respect to GI cancer treatment and immuno-oncology, Vaccine based approaches for treatment of cancer, Development and conduct of Phase I, II/III clinical trials, Epidemiology and Statistical methods. He has published (48) articles in peer reviewed journals and (7) submissions are in process. He is serving as reviewer for (20) journals.
