Biography

Dr. Muhammad Nauman Aftab is currently working as Assistant Professor at Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, GC University, Lahore, Pakistan. He has completed his PhD in Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics from Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, and PhD in Botany/Biotechnology from Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Government College University, Lahore, and M.Phil in Microbiology from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. Previously he was appointed as Lecturer in Biology at Government College Gogera, Okara, Section Officer at Education Department, Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore, Lecturer in Biology at Jinnah Islamia College Sialkot, and Lecturer in Biology from Govt Degree College Daska, Pakistan. Dr. Muhammad Nauman received honors include Second position in M.Phil (Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan, 1997), First position in B.Sc. (Islamia University, Bahawalpur, Pakistan, 1992), and received Post-Doc Fellowship by Higher Education Commission. He has published 6 books, 24 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author. He also worked on 4 research projects as member of team. He has supervised 2 PhD thesis, 17 M.Phil and 24 B.Sc students thesis, and currently supervising 3 PhD and 5 M.Phil students thesis. He is president of Biological Society, Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, and Junior Chemical Society, Government College of Science, Lahore, Vice President, Biological Society in Government College of Science, Lahore and member of Pakistan Botanical Society, and Microbiology Society of Pakistan.
