Biography

Dr. Faheem Shah holds a position of Assistant Professor at Applied and Analytical Chemistry research group, Department of Chemistry, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Abbottabad, Pakistan. He has obtained his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from NCEAC, Sindh University, Jamshoro in 2014. Previously he performed his duties as Research Associate at NCEAC, Sindh University, Jamshoro, Visiting Researcher and Research Assistant at Chemistry Department Erciyes University, Turkey, Quality Control Officer at Pfizer Pakistan Limited and Assistant Professor at Chemistry Department Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology, Karachi. Dr. Faheem received honors includes Research productivity award for year 2013-2014 by PCST-Pakistan and 1 year research fellowship at Erciyes University Turkey, by TUBITAK-Turkey. His main area of interest focuses on Advanced method development for trace analysis of toxic elements in biological samples, Magnetic nano-particles synthesis, characterization and application, heavy metal extraction based on magnetic nanoparticles, carbon nano tubes based solid phase extraction, activated carbon based extraction of heavy metals in biological and environmental samples, and heavy metals assessment in biological and environmental samples. Dr. Faheem has published 80 research articles in national and international journals as well as 1 book and 9 presentations in scientific meeting contributed as author/co-author.
