Biography

Mr. Ali Ahmed received his Master of Philosophy degree in Pharmacy Practice from Quaid I Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Pharmacy from Monash University on a merit scholarship. He has 5 years’ experience of part-time and full-time teaching of intermediate level students. He has done internships in community pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry and the tertiary care hospital of Pakistan.

His current research interests include chronic infectious disease management, drug utilization review, social pharmacy and pharmacotherapeutics. He has published more than 10 research articles in ISI-Web of Science journals with a cumulative impact factor of above 15, h-index 6 and total citations around 105. He is also a reviewer for numerous high-impact journals, such as BMC Public health, BMC health services, International journal of pharmacy practice and frontiers in public health.

Currently, he is serving as a school of pharmacy representative of Monash University Postgraduate Association (MUPA) for a one-year term in 2020.
