Dr. Khan has an extensive experience in the application of geophysical techniques for understanding subsurface geology (shallow and deep earth). Does research in applied geophysics, solid geophysics, tectonophysics, hydrogeology, and underground engineering feasibility studies. Special interests include sedimentary basins analysis, regional tectonics, seismic sequence stratigraphy, petroleum geology, and geological disasters in underground engineering. He has published over 40 SCI papers (15 as First Author) with citations over 712 citations and h-index of 16. Dr. Khan is leading two research projects as PI including National Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He introduced novel methodologies for applications of geophysics in underground engineering safety and feasibility studies. He has acquired teaching, research, students’ supervision, and internationalization experience for 4 years. He won number of renowned awards.
