Biography

Dr. Khalid Mutashar Omar is currently working as Senior Lecturer at University of Nizwa, Oman. He has obtained his Ph.D. in Laser Technology from Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, India. He also appointed as Senior Lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Lecturer at Sikkim Manipal University, New Delhi, India, and Deputy General Manager at Al-Razi Company, Military Industrial Commission. His main area of research interest focuses on Laser Technology/ Nanostructure, Porous Solar Cell and Renewable Energy, Laser in Medical, Biophysics Radiation, Detection and Protection, Safety and Non-Destructive Test, Projects Management, and Environment Studies. He has published 51 research articles in journals, 1 book and 1 book chapter, and 33 papers in conferences contributed as author/co-author. He successfully completed 6 research projects as main Principal and Co-Researcher. He has supervised 4 PhD, and 12 Master’s degree students. He is also serving as member of editorial board and reviewer for many journals. He is member of professional organizations such as Iraqi Physics and Mathematics Association, Semiconductor International, American Association for the Advancement of Science, Malaysian Academic Association, Association of Iraqi Community, Malaysia, and American Association of Science and Technology.
