Biography

Dr. Naseer Ahmed holds a position of Assistant Professor at Taibah University, Saudi Arabia. He has completed is Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University, UK. His main area of interest focuses on finite element modeling of advanced materials and processing techniques (e.g. turning, drilling, and indentation); ultrasonically assisted machining; high-speed and infrared filming, material characterization; and surface roughness analysis. Dr. Naseer received honors includes Best paper award at Failure of Engineering materials and Structures FEMS (Conference), Taxila, Pakistan, Best paper award at 10th CIRP Workshop, Reggio Calabria, Italy, Best paper award at 8th CIRP Workshop, Chemnitz, Germany, and Ministry of Science & Technology (MoST), Pakistan scholarship for JAVA. He also completed 7 research projects as principal Investigator and co-investigator. He has supervised two MSc projects and various BSc projects at GIK Institute. He has published 13 research articles in journals as well as 15 conference proceeding contributed as author/co-author.
