Dr. Mohammed Aljoufie is currently working as Assistant Professor Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Environmental Design, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He has completed his Ph.D. in Remote Sensing from University of Twente, The Netherlands. He also served as Junior Planner at Zuhair Fayez Partnership, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His main area of interest focuses on urban transportation planning, integrated land-use/ transport dynamic interaction modeling (cellular automatic approach in particular), public transport provision, optimizing bus transit service coverage, bus rapid transit (BRT) system analysis, land-use transport interaction, urban growth, sustainable development, urban indicators, urban policies analysis and impact assessment, geographic information system (GIS) and remote sensing, gis/ remote sensing application in urban planning, and gis/remote sensing application in urban transportation planning. He is also acting as reviewer for The International Journal of Urban Policy and Planning, Habitat International Journal, ISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, Journal of Geoinformatics & Geostatistics, Journal of Geography and Regional Planning, and Journal of King Abdulaziz University- Environmental Design Sciences. He has published 5 research articles in journals, 4 book chapters and other paper, 3 international presentations contributed as author/co-author.
