Dr. Mitra Noori is currently working as Associate Professor at Arak University, Iran. His former working experience includes Academic member of Biology Department and Assistant Professor at same university. He completed his PhD in Biology (Plant Taxonomy) in 2002 from London University & Royale Botanic Gardens, Kew. He has published 33 articles in national and international journals and 54 in congress journals. He has written many books including Thalliphytes, Plant Systematic 1, Plant Systematic 2, Flora of Arak University Area 1, Flavonoids in some Iranian Angiosperms, In: Phyto chemicals-A Global Perspective of Their Role in Nutrition and Health. He also translated a book: Plant Cell Culture. Dr. Noori completed many projects and now-a-days he is involved in project naming “Floristic and chemotaxonomic studies of Juncaceae and Cyperaceae in Pol-e-Doab region, Arak, Iran” Arak University, Arak, Iran. Further into his services, he is mentor of 31 M.Sc and PhD students. He is editorial board member of International Journal of Modern Botany, Plant Journal (Science Publishing Group) and Technical Editor of International Journal of Botany, Research Journal of Medicinal Plant, Asian Journal of Plant Sciences, Research Journal of Botany, Research journal of Environmental Science. He has received many distinctions including, Top Researcher in Arak University (2006, 2007 and 2012), Top researcher in Markazi Province (2008).
