Dr. Afreen Siddiqi is currently working as Research Scientist, Engineering Systems Division, Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as Visiting Scholar, Belfer Center for Science & International Affairs, John F. Kennedy School Government, Harvard University. Dr. Afreen Siddiqi has served as Research Affiliate, Belfer Center for Science & International Affairs John. F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was Post-Doctoral Fellow, Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics. Dr. Afreen Siddiqi has completed PhD in Aeronautics & Astronautics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA and received many distinctions including, Rene H. Miller Prize in Systems Engineering (2006), Richard D. DuPont Fellowship (2003-04), Performance Bonus, National Instruments (2003), Marketing Leadership Program, National Instruments (2002),Amelia Earhart Fellowship (2000-01), Tau Beta Pi-National Engineering Honor Society (1998), Pi Tau Sigma-Mechanical Engineering Honor Society (1998). She is currently working on different projects including International Comparative Study of Aeronautics Industrial Policy, Emerging Solar Desalination Technologies Understanding Local Adoption Drivers and Technology Barriers to Inform Cost-Effective Decision Making, Assessing and Strengthening University Industry Collaborations: A Comparative Analysis of Gulf Countries. Dr. Afreen has submitted (46) articles in peer reviewed and other journals as well as written (10) book chapters. Dr. Afreen has delivered (21) presentations at national and international conferences.
