Biography

Dr. Amaal Abd-Elkhalek Mohamed Heikal is a Lecturer in Department of Ornamental Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University since 2010 until now. Dr. Amaal holds B.Sc. in ornamental plants, Department of Ornamental Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Cairo University, 1999. She holds M.Sc. in medicinal plants (thyme), Cairo University, 2005. She holds M.Sc. in medicinal plants (thyme), Cairo University, 2005. She holds Ph.D in the anti malarial plant (artemisia), Cairo University, 2010. Recent researches interested in medicinal and aromatic plants and its relation to popular diseases as well as the effect of different environmental factors on the production of active ingredients of medicinal plants.
