Biography
Dr. Wahid Mohamed Ahmed grew up at Cairo, Egypt. He is Head of the Department of Animal Reproduction & A.I., National Research Center, Giza, Egypt. He obtained his Ph.D. in Veterinary in March, 1991 from Cairo University, Egypt, M.V. Science and B.V. Science in 1987 and 1980 from same university. His past working experience includes Specilized Officer at Department of Veterinary Services, Ministry of Defense, Egypt, Research Scholar, Research Assistant, Assistant Researcher, Researcher, Assistant Research Professor and Research Professor at Department of Animal Reproduction & A.I., National Research Center, Giza, Egypt. He is member of many Egyptian Associations. He is serving as editor-in-chief of more than 15 international scientific journals and editorial board member of 12 journals. He actively participated in number of scientific congresses, symbosia, workshops and training courses. He is also one patent holder naming A Preparation for Treatment of Ovarian Inactivity in Large Animals: “Ovitone”. He supervised 14 MSc and 11 PhD scholars and 2 PhD scholars are in his supervision. He participated in number of local and state research projects. He is also received 6 Scientific Prizes. He published 2 books as author and 1 as co-author. He also published 179 research articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals as author/co-author.
