Biography
Dr. Heba Mahmoud Mohammad Abdel-Aziz is currently working as Lecturer of Plant Physiology Botany Department, Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt. She graduated in 2005 with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany and Chemistry, from Faculty of Science, Mansoura University and was appointed as a Demonstrator in Botany in November 2005. She registered for research work in Plant Physiology. She submitted a thesis entitled Physiological effects of UV Radiation on Growth and Metabolism of Germinating Broad Beans, for which she was awarded the M.Sc. degree in January 2009. On October 2009, she registered for Ph.D. Degree in Plant Physiology. In April 2012 she submitted a thesis entitled Physiological and Molecular Studies on Chilling Stress in Plants, for which she was awarded the Ph.D. degree in August 2012. Her area of research interest related to Physiological and Biochemical Mechanisms and Molecular Studies Associated with Tolerance of Crop Plants to Environmental Stress, with Particular Emphasis on Salinity, Drought, Water Logging and Chilling. She is also supervising 1 MSc thesis. She has 5 publications in journals as well as 1 book contributed as author/co-author. She also attended 2 conferences and Symposia.
