Biography

Dr. Kihal Mebrouk is currently working as Professor of Applied Microbiology, Director of LMA Laboratory at Department of Biol Faculty of SNV, University of Oran, Oran, Algeria. He completed his PhD in Food Microbiology in 1996 from ISN University Oran, ENSBANA, Dijon, France. His prior working experience includes Vice Dean responsible for postgraduate and research of the Faculty of Sciences, Director of Institute of Biology, Head of Department at the Institute of Biology, Contractual Assistant, Assistant Intern, Assistant Professor, Researcher and Lecturer at different institutions. He produced 97 undergraduates, 23 Masters, 21 post-graduates, 6 framing doctors and 14 PhD scholars and supported number of students in their thesis work. He is serving as editorial board member/ regional editor to 6 journals and as an expert to many journals. He published 13 articles in national and 94 in international journals. He also published 40 national communications and 27 international communications and presented 21 posters nationally and 48 internationally. A patent naming “Filed for a new CO2 dosing technique in microorganisms” is in his credit. He also published 6 books as author/ co-author. He actively handled many projects as Project Leader and also participated in many projects.
