Biography

My name is Oluwaseyi Ashaka an early career scientist with interest in the area of virology. I obtained my PhD in 2019 with studies on Human Papillomavirus and precancerous lesions in women in Lagos, Nigeria. My research interest spans through the core area of virology with focus on viruses of medical importance. The objectives intended in the course of my research will identify gaps in basic clinical virology with focus on arthropod-borne virus research, viruses implicated in childhood infections and viruses associated with cancer.
