Biography
Dr. Onwuka teaches monetary theory and policy, regulation of financial institutions and international finance at postgraduate level at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. With a robust research and industry background, Dr. Onwuka approaches topics that deal with trends in monetary policy, international finance and regulation of the financial services sector from a position of deep and intimate knowledge and authority. Before joining the academics, Dr. Onwuka has worked with Zenith Bank Plc and in the Presidency with the then National Board for Community Banks, Abuja. His academic versatility is expressed through the range of scholarly articles published in both local and international journals on topics such as the global financial crisis, rural economic development, capital market, corporate governance, public finance, debt management, agricultural financing and development finance. Dr. Onwuka is unwaveringly committed to promoting research ethics in Nigerian universities and was one of the first faculty members to be certified in research ethics while at Godfrey Okoye University. Dr Onwuka is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Economists of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Management.
