Biography
Dr. Abubakr Mustafa Idris is currently working as Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry at College of Science, King Khalid University, Abha, Saudi Arabia. He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry from University of Khartoum, Sudan. Previously he was appointed as Teaching Assistant at University of Khartoum, Khartoum, Sudan, and Lecturer at Omdurman Islamic University, Omdurman, Sudan, and Research Laboratory Supervisor, Assistant Professor at King Faisal University, Hofuf, Saudi Arabia. He also supervised 3 MSc and 1 PhD student thesis. He is also serving as reviewer for more than 27 journals, and also reviewing conference abstracts. He is editor in chief in Development in Analytical Chemistry, and member of editor board in journals. His area of research focuses on developing microfluidic analytical techniques for fully-automated on-line analyses involving sample treatment, developing reactions and detection, developing and validating analytical methodologies for various purposes, optimizing analytical methods by chemometrics and kinetics, and monitoring and assessing chemical pollutants in the environment by geochemical and multivariate statistical analysis approaches. He has published 16 research articles in journals as well as 27 papers presented in international conferences contributed as author/co-author. Dr. Abubakr Mustafa received honors includes recipient of the second prize of Publishing in the Top 20% Journals in related fields, recipient of the prize of publishing in high impact factor journals, King Faisal University, The overall performance in teaching, research and activities, as rated by the College of Science at King Faisal University, was distinguished for all working years. He also completed 13 funded research projects as principal investigator and co-investigator. He also attended number of workshops and training courses.
