Dr. Christos Bouras is currently working as Professor, Director of Post Graduated Studies for program Science and Technology of Computers, and, member of BoD and Vice President of Research Committee at Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics, School of Engineering University of Patras, Scientific Supervisor of the Research Unit 6 -Computer Technology Institute and Press (Diophantus). He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and Informatics from same University. His research area lies on performance of Networking and Computer Systems, Computer Networks and Protocols, Mobile and Wireless Communications, Telematics and New Services, QoS and Pricing for Networks and Services, E-Learning, Networked Virtual Environments and WWW Issues. He participated in number of conferences committees. He is also serving as member of editor board and reviewer of many national and international journals. He has published (5) chapters in books, and (109) articles in journals and (298) papers in conferences, (46) posters and short papers in conferences, and (11) books contributed as author/co-author. He also worked as Researcher, Supervisor of the Research Unit 1 at Computer Technology Institute, Associate Researcher of the Patras University, Responsible for the Telematics and New Services, EXPERTNET Ltd, Associate Researcher of the Biomedical Institute, Director on Networking Technology Sector, CTI, and Associate Researcher of the Computer Technology Institute. He also participated in number of research projects.
