Biography

Dr. Maria Dolores Garza Gil is currently working as Professor at University of Vigo, Spain. She has completed her Ph.D. in Economic Sciences from same University. She has conducted about 15 national/ international projects and has participated in 20 national/ international projects. The three most recent projects she has conducted are: Sustainable management of marine resources in EU (national, 2010-2012), Sustainable development strategies for marine environment in Galicia” (national, 2009-2012), and Assessment of climate change impact in Galicia (national, 2006-2008). As result of all her research, she published more than 40 papers in different journals: among others, Marine Policy, Ecological Economics, Environmental and Resources Economics, Disasters, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Ocean and Coastal Management.
