Biography
Dr. Antonio D del Campo is currently working as Vice-chair for forest programmers (coordinator), Higher Technical School of Agronomic and Environmental Engineering (ETSIAMN),Universitat Politecnica de Valencia/ Spain. He has completed his Ph.D. in Forest Restoration and Stock Quality from University of Cordoba, Spain. He has 90 publications in peer reviewed journals, book chapters and congress proceedings, 24 of which belonging to peer reviewed papers in SCI listed International Journals. He has completed 20 research projects after PhD; 14 of which as principal investigator, summing up a budget over 500 K€. He successfully supervised 80 MSc and BSc thesis, 3 PhD and 1 Postdoctoral. He is member of Research Network Spanish society of Forest Sciences SECF. He also delivered number of invited presentations. His research experiences related both to forest restoration and to forest hydrology. In the former case, the topic is directly related to his PhD research, whereas in the later case, the research line has been developed as a consequence of the geo-climatic, land-use and social drivers in the Valencia region, where he is currently working in. Accordingly, the post-doctoral research activity has evolved towards more ecohydrologic-centered works, in which the effect of forest management is specially addressed. In this case, the research is centered on the need to obtain hydrological and ecological criteria to incorporate into forest management and how this quantification can be implemented as a direct benefit from forests. This research line has been developed by his research group since 2007.
