Biography
Dr. Marianne Kirstine Thygesen is currently working as Assistant Professor at Clinical Institute, University of Southern Denmark (SDU). She obtained her PhD degree from same Institute in 2011. She has published 7 peer reviewed articles and 1 peer-reviewed abstract, 12 oral presentations, and 8 poster presentations of which nine/six were at international scientific conferences, and five/two have been within the last five years. Currently 4 scientific articles under preparation or peer review before publication, 3 as first author and 1 as co-author. She is member of the board of Head Nurses at Odense University Hospital, Advisory Board for Master of Science in Nursing at University of Southern Denmark, Advisory Board for The National Survey of Patients experiences of Healthcare, and The Research Fund of Gynecology and Obstetrics at OUH. Her area of research interest related to Cancer Care Navigation, Patient Satisfaction, Psychological Well-being, Communication between Healthcare Professionals and Users, Information Technology in Healthcare.
