Biography
Dr. Henrik R. Andersen is currently working as Associate Professor at Institute of Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Denmark. He obtained his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Portugal in 2004. His research field is Micro Pollutants in the Technical Water Cycle. He worked with Chemical Analysis, Fate Studies and Ecotoxicology of Chemicals as well as Studies focusing on targeted Treatment methods to Remove Chemicals and Pathogens: Optimized Bioreactors, UV based Reactions and Chemical Oxidation Methods. He is participant of WP-Leader or Leader in research projects under different programmes (FP5, FP6, The Danish Agency for Science Technology and Innovation). R&D collaboration projects with Water Technology Companies (Scan Research, Siemens, Veolia), Water Utility Companies (HOFOR, Arhus Vand, Nordvand), Technical Institutes (DHI, TI), Consultants (Cowi) and the Danish EPA. He has 49 publications in SCI journals as author/co-author. He supervised 7 Research Assistants and 4 Post doctors and Supervisor/Co-supervisors of 11 PhD-Projects.
