Ivan Lozada Lawag is a multidisciplinary scientist based in the Philippines, specializing in natural products chemistry, analytical biochemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences. He earned his PhD in Pharmacy from The University of Western Australia and currently serves as a Balik Scientist under the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD). His research focuses on the standardization of herbal medicines, antioxidant and antidiabetic bioassays, and therapeutic drug monitoring. Dr. Lawag has published over a dozen peer-reviewed articles and serves on editorial boards of both local and international journals. A strong advocate for ethical and inclusive research publishing, he regularly mentors young scientists and leads capacity-building workshops across the country. As an ACSE Ambassador, he aims to strengthen regional engagement, champion research integrity, and amplify underrepresented scientific voices in Asia.
