Biography
Dr. Hyun Sik Yoon is working as Associate Professor at Global Core Research Center for Ships and Offshore Plants, Pusan National University, Korea. He has obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from same University. Previously he was appointed as Research Scholar and Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Illinois, USA, and Research Professor, and Assistant Professor at Advanced Ship Engineering Research Centre, Pusan National University, Korea. He is also serving as member of Korean Society of Mechanical Engineer, Society of Naval Architects of Korea, The Korean Society of Ocean Engineers, Korean Society of Computational Fluids Engineering, and American Physical Society. He is member of editorial board in International Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy, and Thermal engineering, KSME. His R & D interest and experience includes Turbulence, Flow Control, Skin Friction/Form Drag Reduction, CFD (DNS, LES), Heat/Mixing/Aerodynamic Characteristics Enhancement, Two-Phase Flow, Fluid Impact Load (sloshing/slamming), Motion of Bluff Body (ship, underwater vehicles), and Fluid-Structure Interaction (compliant coating). He has published 61 research articles in international journals as well as 32 articles in international conferences contributed as author/co-author.
