Biography
Dr. Zhong-Yong Yuan is currently working as Full Professor in Physical and Materials Chemistry Key Laboratory of Advanced Energy Materials Chemistry College of Chemistry, Nankai University, China. He obtained his PhD in Physical Chemistry from same University in 1999. His professional experience includes, worked as Instructor at Teaching High School, Chemistry School of Shiliping, Zhejiang Province, Teaching Assistant at Nankai University, Postdoctoral Fellow at Chinese Academy of Sciences, Research Fellow at The University of Namur (FUNDP), Belgium, and Visiting Professor at University of Exeter, UK, and University of South Africa. Dr. Zhong-Yong received honors includes Winner of the New Century Excellent Talents in University, Ministry of Education, Chair Professor in Nankai University, Thomson Reuters Research Fronts Award, Third Class Award of Tianjin Science & Technology Advancement, Rank 10th in the whole country for the cited times of single international publications, Excellent Student Prize of Baogang Education Foundation of China, Excellent Teacher, Shiliping School, Zhejiang Province, and Scholarship of Third Grade, Zhejiang Normal University. He is committee member of Chinese Zeolite Association. He is member of editor board and editor advisory board in journals. He is also serving as regular reviewer of more than 40 international journals. His area of research interest focuses on Hierarchically Nanoporous Functional Materials, and their Catalytic Applications, especially in Environmental Protection, Energy and Petrochemical Industry, Nanostructured Materials, and Self-assembly of Inorganic Nanocrystals into Hierarchically Nanoarchitectures with Structure-dependent Property for Applications in Catalysis, Sensor and Electrode Materials. He supervised 11 PhD, 13 Master students, 1 Postdoctoral Fellow. He has published (200) papers in SCI journals, (1) book, and (4) chapters in books, and (40) scientific papers published in peer-refereed conference proceedings.
