Biography

Dr. Guoqian Chen is currently working as Professor at Department of Mechanics, Peking University, Beijing, China, and Distinguished Professor in Department of Mathematics, King Abudulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He obtained his PhD in Applied Mathematics and Fluid Mechanics from same University in 1989. In past he worked as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor at Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academic of Science, Beijing, China, Associate Professor/Professor at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing, China, Visiting Professor at University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, United States, and Hong Kong University, Hong Kong, China. Dr. Guoqian Chen received number of honors includes Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers Award, Thomson Reuters China Citation Laureates, ISI Highly Cited Researcher 2013, National Award for Science and Technology Progress, Ministry of Education Award for Science and Technology Progress, Elsevier Award for Most-Cited Economics Journal Paper, Hok Ying-Tong Education Foundation Award for Outstanding Young Teachers, Ministry of Education Award for Trans-Century Excellent Talents in Universities, and Zhou Pei-Yuan Outstanding Paper Award in Hydrodynamics (1st Prize). He is member of editorial board in number of national and international journals. Recently he has published 120 research articles in journals as author/co-author.
