Biography
M. Hakkı Alma (Ph.D.) is a Professor at Department of Forest Industry Engineering of Faculty of Forestry in Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam University (Turkey), and he is currently serves as the Rector of Igdır University (Turkey). Dr. Alma has over 200 scientific papers (manuscripts, conference papers, proceedings etc.) and 100 projects either presented or published. He is an internationally recognized scientist in many areas of wood sciences, materials sciences, non-wood forest products, wood-plastic composites. The majority of the publications include the subjects such as liquefaction, essential oils, plant extracts, composite materials and bio-based energy. He routinely lectures on various topics related to wood science and technology along with medical and aromatic plants chemistry.
