Biography
Dr. Zeynep Cetecioglu Gurol is currently working as Associate Professor at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering Department and Deputy Director of R&D at ENGY Environmental and Energy Technologies Biotechnology Research and Development Limited Company. She has completed her Ph.D. in Environmental Biotechnology from same University. Her previous appointment includes Visitor Researcher at Catalan Institute for Water Research, Girona, Spain and Research Assistant at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering, and Environmental Engineering Department. Her main area of interest focuses on Microbial/Molecular Ecology, Development of Rapid Pathogen Detection Kits (for health, food, water, etc.), Environmental Biotechnology, Anaerobic Treatment Technologies, Natural Ecosystems, Pharmaceuticals and Enzymes. She is professional member of Chambers of Environmental Engineers. She has published 20 research articles in journals, 26 national and international conference papers and 4 national/international books contributed as author/co-author. She also participated in more than 13 research projects as researcher and coordinator. She is also serving as referee for number of journals.
