Biography

Dr. Mahadev D. Dixit is currently working as Professor CVTS, and Director KLES Heart Foundation at J. N. Medical College, Belgaum KLES Heart Foundation KLES Prabhakar Kore Hospital & MRC. He has completed his MBBS from JN Medical College, Belgaum. Previously he was appointed as Jr. Clinical Assistant CVTS at Bombay Hospital, Institute of Medical Sciences, Bombay, and Registrar in Cardiac Surgery U.K. in Castle Hill Hospital, East Yorkshire Health Authority, Cottingham, Hull, and Consultant CVTS Surgery at B.M. Birla Heart Research Centre, Calcutta, Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at J. N. Medical College, Belgaum KLES Heart Foundation KLES Prabhakar Kore Hospital & MRC. Dr. Mahadev received number of honors includes Karnataka State Rajyostava Award, Fie Foundation Award 2005 Ichalkarnji (Maharashtra) Award is given for extra ordinary work in Cardio Thoracic Surgeries, received more than Sixteen Awards received from I.M.A. of Goa, Belgaum, Hubli KLE MRC, Kolhapur, Sangli for delivering oration on various Cardio Thoracic lessons and their management and Awarded as Best Scientist of KLE University. He also delivered more than 500 lectures at different organizations to increase awareness of Cardiac diseases. He is life member of KLE Society, Belgaum, European Association of Cardio Thoracic Surgeons, Cardiological Society of India, Association of Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgeons of India, member of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Indian Medical Association, Belgaum, Karnataka Law Society, Belgaum, University Research Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee, and Trustee in Asia Heart Foundation involved in building Heart Hospital across the country, Chairman of Cardiology Consultative Committee, Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore, President of JNMC Alumni Association, and Director of KLE Society’s Belgaum Cancer Hospital, Belgaum. He has published 36 research articles in journals, 39 papers and abstracts in national and international journals.
