Biography

Dr. C. Rajasekaran is currently working as Associate Professor at School of Bio Sciences and Technology, VIT University. He has completed his PhD in Plant Physiology from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, India. He is having 20 years of research experience and 15 years teaching experience. He has 79 publications in journals, book chapters and paper presentations. He also participated in number of national and international workshops. He is also serving as regular reviewer and member of editorial board in number of journals. He is professional member/life member of Indian Society for Plant Physiology, Society for Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Seaweed Utilization Research Association, Himalayan Research Foundation, The Gene Tech, Society for Environmental research Education & National Evolution (SERENE), Ethino Botanical Society of Nepal, European Federation of Biotechnology, Society for Environment and Development, Biochemical Society UK, Prof. H. S. Srivastava Foundation for Science and Society and Botanical Garden Conservation International. He also completed 9 research projects as principal investigator, co-investigator and supervisor. His main area of interest focuses on Self Interested, Motivated and Zeal in the field of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, Having leadership quality to lead team, Impact of Altitudinal Gradient on the Ammonium Assimilatory Enzymes in Plants, Biodiversity Conservation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and its Genetic Diversity, Conservation through cultivation of MAPs with villagers and tribes and Teaching in the field of biological sciences. He also guided 60 M.Sc./ M. Tech./ B. Tech students.
