Biography
Dr. Yogesh Chandra Tripathi is currently working as Scientist ‘F’ Chemistry Division at Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He has completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry-Medicinal Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He is having 30 years research experience. Previously he was appointed as Scientist C & Head, NWFP Division and Scientist D & Head, NWFP Division at Arid Forest Research Institute, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Scientist E & Head, Bioprospecting and Extension Division, Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat, Assam and Sr. Scientist & Director at Advanced Research Centre for Bamboo & Rattan, Aizawl, Mizoram, India. His main area of interest focuses on Bioprospecting of Botanicals, Forest Resource Management and Utilization, Technology Development for Value addition, and Process refinement for productivity enhancement. He has completed 15 in-house and extramural research projects. He has published 139 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author. He has supervised 10 Ph.D. stidents and 22 postgraduate students. Currently he is supervising 4 PhD thesis. He also participated in 123 scientific meetings as Chairperson, Resource Person, Key Note Speaker, Guest of Honour and presenter. Dr. Yogesh received honors include Isheer Award from Indian Society of Health, Environment, ICFRE Cash Award, Included in Millennium Edition of “Marquis Who’s Who, and APSI Honors Award from Academy of Plant Sciences, India and number of award for best presentation in scientific meeting. He is also serving as member of several scientific bodies such as New York Academy of Science, South East Asian NTFP Network (SEANN) and Institution of Chemists, Indian Science Congress Association, Indian Chemical Society, National Academy of Sciences, Thar Gyan Vigyan Samiti, Academy of Plant Sciences, Bioved Research Society, Vigyan Parisad, Green Earth Foundation, The Arid Zone Research Association of India, Kendriya Sachivalaya Hindi Parisad, and Centre of Minor Forest Produce Society of Environmental Sciences. He is also acting as member of editorial board and referee for number of journals .
