Biography
Dr. Vijay Kumar is currently working as J.C. Bose Fellow at International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, India. He received his Ph.D. degree in Medical Science from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. His employment history includes worked as Junior Research Fellow, Ph.D. fellow and Lady Tata Senior Research Scholar, and Junior Research Officer at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, Indo-French Exchange Scholar at University of Louis Pasteur, Institut de Chimie Biologique, Strasbourg, France, and Research Scientist, Senior Research Scientist, and Staff Scientist at International Centre for Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology (I.C.G.E.B.), New Delhi. His area of specialization includes Molecular Biology of Oncogenic Viruses and Cancer, Steroid Hormone Receptors and Cancer, Gene Assembly, Cloning and Expression, and Epigenetic Regulation of DNA Replication and Transcription. Dr. Vijay Kumar received honor includes Gold Medal for securing first rank in M. Sc., Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya, Kul Prize for Best Science graduate, Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur, Gold Medal Zoological Society of India, Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, India, and fellow of National Academy of Medical Sciences, India. He has experience of successfully guided 22 PhD, 6 research associate, 6 research fellows, and 3 summer fellow. He is also serving as reviewer for several international journals. He organized 5 practical courses. He also delivered 80 invited lectures. He is member of various scientific committees. He has published more than 75 research articles in peer reviewed journal, 24 papers in serials, symposia proceedings and book chapters, 3 books and 3 patents contributed as author/co-author.
