Biography

Dr. Kurian V. John obtained his Ph.D. in Offshore Structures from Indian Institute of Technology, India. Currently he is working as Professor at Civil Engineering Department University Technology PETRONAS (UTP) Malaysia. He also appointed as Lecturer, Assistant Professor and Post Graduate Professor at National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) India, Site Engineer at SKANSKA, Swedish Construction Company Muscat Sultanate of Oman, Head of Civil Engineering Department Federal Polytechnic Idah (FPI) Nigeria, and Associate Professor at University of Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Malaysia. He also received number of professional and educational awards. He is life member of Institution of Engineers, India, and Indian Society for Technical Education, Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria, International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers, Concrete Society of Malaysia, and ASME. He successfully completed 25 Projects with a funding of RM 3.5 million. He has published 43 research articles in journals, 128 conference papers, 14 workshop and seminar papers, and 12 books/reports contributed as author/co-author. He is also serving as reviewer for many journals. He supervised 42 post graduate students. He also conducted 9 workshops and courses. He also attended 117 conferences, workshops and seminars.
