Dr. Sudhakara Reddy Basireddy is currently working as Professor at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Energy Economics from Indian Institute of Science, India. His main area of interest related to Energy Economics, Energy Efficiency, Energy Security, Renewable Sources of Energy, Technology Management, Climate Change, Energy and Environmental Policy, Forestry, Urban Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Urbanisation and Transportation. He is member of editorial board in International Journal of Global Energy Issues, Inderscince Publications, Switzerland, International Journal of Environment and Pollution, Inderscience Publications, Energy Sources, Taylor and Francis, U.K, Journal of Environmental Accounting and Management, L&H Scientific Publishing. He is member of scientific and professional societies such as member of Research Advisory Committee, Institute for Global Environmental Stategies, Hayama, Japan, expert Appraisal Committee for Thermal Power projects, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India, Expert Appraisal Committee for Coal mine projects, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India, and so on. He has published 9 books, 128 research articles in journals, and 8 project reports contributed as author/co-author. He supervised 3 PhD and 1 M.Phil student. He successfully completed 12 research projects. He also conducted 5 training programs. He also delivered number of lectures as Invited Speaker at different meeting /institutes.
